Ella's Lead Collar Review

Occasionally, I will be reviewing products, and then sharing my results in a review.

A couple of weeks ago, I ordered collars from Ella's Lead for the Chihuahuas.

The collars I ordered were under the Small But Mighty line of collars. Each collar was $30 with rhinestones/designs. http://ellaslead.com/inc/sdetail/6204/5405

When I opened the box, I was appalled at the poor quality of these collars. The leather was frayed and separating from the suede, they were extremely thin, the rivets in the back were poking out (would've cut Tucker had I put his on), the leather was bent up and bumpy, and were very low quality for the $30 a piece I spent on them.

Because pictures tell a thousand words I've included four photos.

First, Chloe's collar: Leather was fraying and separating from the suede.

Tucker's collar: Rivets were poking out of the back, collar was bent and bumpy, and was paper thin.

I nicely sent Becca (the owner at Ella's Lead) a message to let her know I was not happy, and she was passive aggressive/argumentative and stated she did not send me "damaged" products. For $30, I do NOT expect my collars to be falling apart. It was definitely a disappointing experience, and I will NEVER order from Ella's Lead again. She eventually said she would refund my money, but I shouldn't have had to argue over it nor should I have been treated poorly.

The Roast Woe

Ian stopped at the store for some groceries, and made the mistake of setting the bags on the kitchen floor before they were put away.

I walked into the kitchen to see the chihuahuas buried in the grocery bags, sniffing away.

Of course, they were after the bag with the pork roast.

After putting the roast into the fridge, Tucker refused to leave the door of the fridge. He stood there and just waited for someone to open up the door so he could stare at the roast.

"O hai, meat. I seez u"

Such woe.

Unfortunately for Tucker, this story doesn't end well. The roast was put in the crock pot the next morning for pulled pork. However, he was given a sample of the pulled pork the next day.

Chihuahua Wrangler

Rory's very fitting Fetching Tag came in the mail a few days ago!

If you've never heard of Fetching Tags (http://www.fetchingtags.net) you'll have to check them out. They're make out of aircraft quality aluminum and never tarnish- they're literally tags for life. I couldn't believe how lightweight the tag was when I first picked it up... I'm definitely impressed with the awesomeness of it.

Of course, when you have dogs with ridiculous amounts of fur, it makes it difficult to even SEE the tag!

Rory takes his job title of Chihuahua Wrangler VERY seriously! No chihuahuas will get away while he's on watch!

Of course, tending to his flock is very tiring.

Tucker of the Sea

Ahoy, maties! It's Tucker of the sea!

Tucker is a very cooperative (read: food driven) dog. The stone pole he's standing on was actually taller than me.

We had gone to Pet Supermarket to pick up a few things, and then went to a beautiful park near Rollins College in Winter Park to take a walk. Shortly after, it started to pour outside.

Help Stop This Death Sentence

In March, there was a dog fighting bust. To make a long story short, a few of these dogs that survived were temperament tested in a shelter. The "professional" deemed them aggressive and the county ordered them to be euthanized.

The temperament test videos are appaling. The "professional's" words do not match up with the dogs and their body language in the videos.

Please watch the videos, sign this petition, and spread the word if you feel these dogs deserve to LIVE.
