First Time on Sheep

Rory and I went to our first herding lesson this morning/afternoon, and it was amazing to watch him turn on. It's very impressive to be able to watch a dog do what it was bred to do.

Can i haz sheep now, plz?

  1. Wow, Rory, first time out herding & you were amazing! You even knew to nip the back leg and no one taught you that :-) I bet you had so much fun doing what's in your genes. I flip out when I see ducks or geese and I love the water, so I know how it feels!
Looking forward to seeing your progress!

  4. Hi Rory,

We enjoyed reading your post. You are really good at herding up sheep-goats-ewes??? Oh, whatever! And we like your one ear trick too!

  5. Thanks, everyone! I figured that he'd have the instinct to herd, as both of his parents work sheep as their jobs.

Yep, I'm definitely addicted now! We have some things to work on at home in the next couple of weeks before we go back.
