My Lake Monster's Identity Crisis

The first question of the day is this: What breed is Rory? Border Collie, or Golden Retriever?

For those who don't know what a Golden Retriever is, here's a picture reference:

Now, take a moment and really think about it...

If you guessed Border Collie, well, give yourself a pat on the back. If you're wondering why I'm picking your brain this early in the morning, here's the scoop. Last night on our walk, someone actually asked if Rory was a Golden Retriever. I know, I know... some people can't identify dog breeds and it's understandable in some cases. However, Golden Retrievers are golden... Rory is white with brown spots. Goldens having floppy ears... Rory has one ear that sticks straight up.

After being perplexed and confused, I realized just how disappointed I am with the general public.

But anyway, moving on... I do believe Rory could be part dolphin:

I'd love to say that a couple of hours at the lake wore him out, but alas, it did not. I still had a slobbery Cuz pushed into my lap afterwards while attempting an afternoon nap.

Lesson learned- one can not tire out a Border Collie puppeh.
